Minister License & Ministry Licensing
Many hospitals, nursing homes, jails, and shelters require ministers to be ordained before they are permitted to minister to their people. Also, many U.S. states require licensing before ministers are permitted to perform marriages and funerals. We desire to help these people answer God's calling on their lives. A licensed minister is a member of the clergy who is in “good standing” with a ministry association, licensing agency, religious society, or denomination of churches, etc. The term implies that one of these institutions have granted them a license to practice ministry.
Ordination is the acknowledgment by a community of believers that a person has been called to ministry; accompanied by their commission to advance the cause of Christ. In our case, people ordained with the IFM are commissioned by a community of ministers.
We make Christian ordination and ministry licensing available to qualifying applicants who:
1) Are accepted as a member of our Fellowship
2) Acknowledge the Christian statement of faith of IFM
3) Share our ministry values
5) Demonstrate a sincere call of God to Christian ministry
6) Participate in the theological interviewing
7) Pass the background investigation of internet, social media and criminal offender registry checks
